周二早晨11点，辛辛那提市一公寓忽然发生火花爆炸，在消防员赶到之前，火焰已经舒展了6间屋子。

消防员告急撤离了楼内住户，并起头灭火。火势很快扑灭，万幸没有职员伤亡，但衡宇已被烧毁，三名成年人和五名儿童流浪失所。

消防队长马克·莫纳汉（Marc Monahan）说，一个13岁的熊孩子试图用酒精和火柴杀死臭虫，失慎激发了火灾。

“这是一路偶发事务。阿谁孩子不是在玩火，他只是想灭虫，没想到会激生机灾。未成年人应当只管阔别火种。”
